Adi Boutrous – One More Thing

Adi Boutrous
One More Thing

“The group is not a place of coercion, as is usually the case, but a protective space in which everyone can feel safe without having to give up themselves”. “What is fascinating about this piece is the gentle intimacy and the reinterpretation of the group as a space of trust, connection, and being able to rest in each other. What is fascinating is the unpathetic peaceful seriousness, free of any sentimental or mindfulness kitsch”.

Frank Schmid, Rbb Kultur.

Adi Boutrous was born in 1989. He studied at Matte Asher School for Performing Arts in Kibbutz Gaaton, followed by the “Maslool – Professional Dance Program” in Tel Aviv-Yafo. He made his name as a dancer and choreographer in Israel before gaining international recognition. Rooted in conveying moral ideas, his works seek to reveal essence and intimate expression, a performative state he has developed since his debut creation, What Really Makes Me Mad, for which he received the first prize at the “Shades in Dance” 2013. In 2022, Adi Boutrous received The Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sport Award for Creation in Dance for his body of works.
