Maman, mets un sweat et calme-toi !

On May 29, 2014, returning from Eilat, their car was hit head-on! Samuel Ray Attal is killed instantly. His wife Zaava is seriously injured. Their 11-month-old son Liam is miraculously unharmed.
During the year of mourning, Sophie Rachel Attal, Samuel’s mother, reestablished contact with her son through spontaneous writings, often nocturnal and always crying out for truth and emotion! These texts will be the subject of a book which will be published at the end of the year of mourning in June 2015. Supported by her actor friend and director Bernard Bitan, she decided to present these texts on stage. A show where music is an integral part and participates in an intense emotion.
A mother’s cry to her missing son and to the Master of the world, the expression of extreme pain, a dialogue that is virtual but so real, all contribute to carrying a message of hope and remain for all of us an incredible lesson in life.

Sophie Rachel Attal has been acting for 35 years. His first scene is his pharmacy counter in Paris. After moving to Israel in 2005, she created and led a theater and theater therapy workshop in Israel two years later. In 2016 she presented the piece “Ils s’aiment” by Pierre Palmade and Muriel Robin and will perform around ten performances in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Netanya, Raanana and Ashdod. In 2017, she designed and presented a show of sketches: “Household Scenes” with her semi-professional workshop troupe at the Habima Theater in Tel Aviv and the Khan Theater in Jerusalem. In 2021, she will play in “Un Amour qui ne fin pas” by André Roussin and directed by Bernard Bitan. The following year it will be: “By the End of the Nose”, a play by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de la Patellière directed by Shirley Maarek.
