Shira Elkouby is an independent choreographer and a dance teacher at ‘Reut High School for the Arts’ since 2015. In addition to her dance creations and teaching, Shira studying a Bachelor of visual communication at the ‘Bezalel Academy of Art and Design’, Jerusalem, since 2019. Shira studied in the dance program in the high school “Reut for the Arts”, 2006-2012. Shira is a graduator of the ‘Maslool’ through the years of 2012-2014. In 2016 Shira created her first piece, “Lord of the sun”, as part of a residency at “Lake Studios”, Berlin. In 2017, she created the piece “Harmoniler” for ‘Shades in Dance Festival’ by Suzanne Dellal Center and the piece “Continued Reflections” for the students of the ‘Maslool’. In 2019, Shira created the piece “My condolences”, with the support of ‘Mifaal Hapais’. This piece was performed multiple times at Suzanne Dellal Center and at “Fresco House”.
