The Ga'aton Danceworkshop presents a rich, varied and enthusiastic program of talented choreographers performed by the passionate Danceworkshop dancers. Join us for an exciting dance celebration!
The Danceworkshop is a two-year curriculum that aims to train dancers (ages 18-23) to integrate into the world of professional dance. The dancers have a previous background in dance and come from dance schools in Israel and around the world, and have a passion and a strong desire to turn dance into a profession. A team of skilled and dedicated teachers and choreographers brings with them a high and uncompromising professional approach and great emphasis is placed on creative processes with choreographers alongside an emphasis on personal creation of the students. Most of the Danceworkshop's students are outstanding dancers in the IDF. The program, founded in 1977 by Ms. Yehudit Arnon, operates in Kibbutz Ga'aton, is supported by the Dance Department at the Ministry of Culture, and is currently managed by Einav Levy and choreographer Yossi Berg. Over the years, the graduates of the Danceworkshop have been integrated into the best dance groups in Israel, abroad and in the independent Israeli dance scene.
The program includes original choreographies and repertoire by the choreographers: Yossi Berg and Oded Graf, Sharon Eyal, Mor Shani, Inbal Pinto, Roni Chadash, Noa Zuk, Lotem Regev, Rami Beer, Andrea Martini, Mats Ek.
